With designers extending their midas touch to the world of gadgetry, you have mobile phones costing over a million dollars. Sizzling both in features and looks, these phones stand for style and class.

Ulysse Nardin Chairman

The Swiss watch manufacturer, Ulysse Nardin, has released Chairman smartphone, claimed to be one pf the world's most expensive phone. The smartphone features over 3,000 hand-cut 17-karat diamonds and includes signature Ulysse Nardin mechanical watch rotor. The phone's 1 unit takes 700 man hours to build.

Coming to specs, the phone features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (made of sapphire crystal), 8 megapixel camera with flash and runs on a specially designed version of Android Gingerbread. The phone comes preloaded with Android apps for Gmail, Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps. For custom unlocking, the phone has a thumbprint reader on the front.

As for price, it comes for a whopping $130,000 (approximately).

Vertu Constellation T

Nokia's luxury arm Vertu has unveiled Constellation T, a touchscreen smartphone running the Nokia's built Symbian operating system.

The phone's specs include: a 3.5-inch 640 x 360 AMOLED touchscreen, 8 megapixel shooter with twin LED flash, 32GB of onboard storage and an HSPA+ modem.

According to web reports, with a one-year of Vertu's concierge service, the phone ranges from £3,900 ($6k) for the satin-brown finish and go up to £9,600 ($16,000) for the red-gold version.

  Tag Heuer Racer

Luxury watch maker Tag Heuer recently announced an ultra-lightweight Tag Heuer Racer luxury smartphone. The phone comes with a shockproof rubber chassis with titanium screws and carbon fiber bridges.

As for the specs, the phone runs a high-speed processor and the Android Gingerbread software with a customisable 3D user interface. The company has not revealed its hardware specifications.

The phone will be available from July priced around $3,687.

LG Prada 3.0

LG and Prada have again teamed up to launch LG Prada 3.0, the successor to popular LG KF900 Prada.

With a 4.3-inch screen with 480 x 800 pixels, the 8.5mm-thick phone comes with 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera with LED flash and auto focus, 1.3MP secondary camera for video calling, Near field communications and Android OS (Gingerbread).

The phone is priced around £48.

Goldgenie Superstar iPhone 4S

 

 

London's Goldgenie unveiled its Superstar iPhone range customised in 18 carat gold, platinum and VS1 diamonds.

The 64GB iPhone 4S, with gold or platinum with diamond edges, comes in a luxury piano black box. There are only 250 editions available in platinum and diamonds and 500 in 18carat gold and diamonds.

The range is priced from $8,115 to $21,925.

TAG Heuer Link

 

Tag Heuer's Link smartphone is another luxury Android handset which the company claims is water, shock and dust proof.

The phone's chassis comes in 316L Stainless steel, 18k gold or titanium with trim in rubber, alligator, lizard or calfskin/carbon leather. The phone's 3.5-inch screen is made of Corning's Gorilla Glass to guard against scratches.

As for specs, the phone runs on Android 2.2 with a custom Tag Heuer skin, has 256 MB of RAM, an 8GB SD card and 5 Megapixel camera. The Link smartphone comes in quad-band GSM and tri-band CDMA models, and has Bluetooth 2.1, AGPS, and Wi-Fi support.

The phone has a price tag of roughly $7,000.

Dior Touch Phone

 French fashion house Dior last year unveiled a luxury smatrphone running on Android operating system, Touch Phone. The phone includes 99 pieces assembled by hand in one of Dior's French workshops, including sapphire crystal, steel, gold, diamond and mother-of-pearl components.

The phone features a 3.2-inch screen with 854x480 pixels resolution, a 5MP camera and microSD card slot. The phone measures 103.1x50.3x12.8 mm, and weighs 137 grams.

The phone carries a price tag of $4,700 USD.

Porsche Design BlackBerry P'9981


 

 


  Luxury brand Porsche Design and BlackBerry launched limited edition Blackberry P'9981, which comes in stainless steel casing and a leather back.

The phone's key specs includes: 2.8-inch TFT LCD display, 1.2 GHz processor, BlackBerry 7 OS, Porsche Design UI, 8GB onboard memory, additional 16GB micro SD included in box, 5 MP camera, HD Video recording (720p), 4X digital zoom, NFC capability and 3.5mm stereo headset. The phone is priced around $2000.
