Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 launching on Aug 15?

SAMSUNG'S NEW: THE GALAXY NOTE 10.1
Samsung has told media organisations in US that it will make a 'major announcement' on August 15. This has sent rumour mills in the overdrive mode as speculation is rife that the company will launch the Galaxy Note 10.1, the second generation of its smartphone-tablet hybrid Galaxy Note.

The 'phablet' is among the most eagerly-awaited launches in the smartphone world and is expected to feature a 5.5-inch screen, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and a quad-core processor.

Previously, rumours had pegged the launch date of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on August 31, during IFA in Berlin.

The upcoming Galaxy Note 2 is expected to have a 12 or 13 megapixel camera, a significant upgrade from the current version's 8 megapixel snapper. It is also anticipated that the device will have features like S-Voice, Smart Stay and S-Beam, which debuted in Samsung Galaxy S III.

Samsung has also reportedly decided against using the unbreakable plane (UBP) display, which is more durable than other screens, in Note successor.

However, Samsung on its own has not revealed any details about the upcoming gadget
