SEPTEMBER SCAN: Launching LG Optimus VU

BETTER TREND: THE NEW LG OPTIMUS VU
LG Optimus VU is set to launch in select markets in Asia, Europe, Middle East/Africa and Latin America in September, according to the company. 

Announced earlier this year, LG Optimus Vu is a tablet-smartphone hybrid, capable of stylus input like the Samsung Galaxy Note. The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 ICS and is reported to be equipped with NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor for global launch. 

The device features a 5-inch 4:3 aspect ratio XGA resolution (768x1024) IPS display. LG Vu comes with an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 MP secondary camera, and packs 32GB of onboard storage. 

The company has not disclosed the device's pricing so far.
